Just finished watching The Kinsgman: Secret Service...

It was like James Bond on crack... Not so much about great acting or plot, but the action was ridiculous. The church fight scene was probably one of the craziest action sequences that I've ever seen. Worth the watch for that scene alone!

Sam L Jackson sucked as usual. Probably the cheesiest villain that I've ever watched.

Most aren't as good as the original. Was it any good? Worth a look?
Meh... They went a little overboard on the cgi and tried really hard to scare you. I'd say its worth the watch, but lower your expectations lol.

We had a $5 MalWart movie night up at the condo over the weekend.
First, we watched "The Other Guys"...daughter's choice, wasn't too excited about it. It had some reasonable laughs for the first hour and then got kind of flat and strained as they seemed to struggle with how they were going to resolve the mess. 6/10, at least it kept my interest for most of the time. Didn't think that Marky Mark and Ferrell seemed very comfortable together.
I had picked "Ace Ventura" and hoped it would be as funny as "The Mask". Really didn't like it, mostly just Carrey doing his over the top thing but not having many good lines to deliver. 4/10 only because his female sidekick was a babe.
Wait... You didn't like Ace Ventura???

Wow, just wow.

A Million Ways to Die in the West

I went in with really low expectations because of all the bad reviews. That helped. Because I was expecting a steaming pile of crap, and only got a solid shit log instead, it was relatively enjoyable.

3/10

Just didn't have many laughs...my daughter and I both loved Dumb And Dumber and liked The Mask and Dumb and Dumber To very much (we won't talk about Dumber And Dumberer). All the Carrey hysterics just don't cut it if he doesn't have good lines to deliver.

Which one did you watch, pet detective or when nature calls? I think When Nature Calls was a prett funny movie, that was the second one.

I'll never forget when Jim Carey crawled out of a rhino's ass.....Classic

Got both in one box and watched the first.
That actually sounds pretty damned funny...I have some hope now that we'll like the second one better.

Started watching "Dawg Fights" last night, but only got about 20 minutes into it at best...definitely want to finish it, got me hooked. Huge black dude who grew up with Kimbo Slice and used to be a bodyguard for him running no holds barred backyard fights in his S Florida shithole hometown.

I watched "This Is Where I Leave You". It was OK. A bit overly dramatic but I liked the book and stuck with it.

The author of the book created and writes "Banshee" and I am always amazed the he writes sweet melancholy stories about families, aging, and death then writes a way over the top (but fun) violent show. Must be fun.

To each his own!

I thought Ace Ventura & the sequel were by far Carrey's best work... So many one liners its hard to remember them all.

Basically, yes. And I tend to agree.

But if you have not seen it yet, check out "Me, Myself, and Irene". Carey is actually a VERY good actor in that one. I was blown away.
That is probably my next favorite of his...

Halfway through The Dallas Buyers club but passed out so I just might restart that.

Nothing going on tonight so I plan on watching the original Mad Max for the first time (saw the new one it was badass).

Ace Ventura 2 was miles better than the first one IMO.

I went and seen San Andreas last night with the girl... Typical disaster flick, not bad but nothing special... Some of the special effects missed but Alexandra Daddario is yummy...

I just finished. I'm not one for his movies. This was pretty damn entertaining.
