Same here. Although it may have been done to appease Alonso. He would surely not like some hot shoe behind him, pushing him hard. Button will accept the role the team has given him.

After many of the teams boycotted the last several races of this past season, I think F-1 is going to forge ahead no matter what and they are eventually going to shoot themselves in the foot if they don't heed what the small teams are warning.

I read where there is a movement afoot to move away from the hybrid turbos to louder, more powerful, cheaper engines in the not too distant future.
