with news coming in now for the next season & a lot of you in the know. Has anyone heard anything on Simona or her progression? Do you think she will have a ride for next year somewhere?

Simona is an affiliated driver with Sauber and is involved in a year long training program with that F-1 team with the hopes of having a ride with Sauber in 2015.

Just to let everyone know. Tony Schumacher took his 8th Top Fuel Championship, Matt Hagan takes Funny car beating John Force for his second championship, and Erica Enders-Stevens takes Pro Stock after Jason Line red lights. That was a great finals in Pomona tonight.

According to BBC F1

Formula 1 driver Jules Bianchi is no longer in an artificial coma and is breathing unaided, his parents have said in a statement.

Dude is going to be just above a vegetative state for awhile with the whack he took on the left side of his head.

Sebastian Vettel signs a three year deal to drive for Ferrari:

www.formula1.com

Which should mean that Alonso is going to McLaren & Button's days as an F1 pilot are over.

I agree Indy. Button is done. Can't wait to see who emerges as Carl Haas's main driver in 2016 as they continue to develop their team as they approach the unavailing of the new team just one year away.

... And in regards to Simona de Silvestro; I just stumbled across this little piece of info:

www.indystar.com

About 1/2 way down the article it talks about her being 'suspended' from Sauber & looking to come back to IndyCar.

Wow, that is interesting about Simona. From the last info I read, it portrayed her as well on her way. Apparently something has changed.

Probably has something to do with the current uncertainty surrounding Sauber. They were one of the three teams that threatened to boycott recent GPs over the TV money distribution dispute. One has to wonder if they'll be around next season.

Well if that dispute is becoming the predominant factor in team development, then F-1's lifespan is in jeopardy. Having a race series with 5-8 dominant teams would be the death nail in my opinion. Europeans are a bit different and I could be wrong here but that may be similar to having NASCAR just be a series that includes Hendricks, Roush, Gibbs, and Stewart-Hass (more Hendricks) which is what we have now or nearly so.
