Rosberg apologizes, receives 'suitable disciplinary action' for contact with Hamilton at Spa.

www.formula1.com/news

To me, this is BS: Nico did everything that he could to give Lewis room. It's not his fault if Lewis wasn't checking his mirrors!

Roseberg did a stupid thing on Lap 2.

And it cost his team and him.

Hard racing at the end is OK, but stupid racing on Lap 2 is simply stupid.

I don't think he will ever be the same to the point of resuming his career behind the wheel. The extent of traumatic brain injury is/was significant.

Behind the wheel? That is long gone.

Being able to walk and talk may even be a stretch.

I think coming home as he is is only made possible by him being rich as fuck and being able to afford to.

I believe that Luca has already said that Ferrari has written off this season, & is concentrating on next season's car.

I'm talking maybe ever? They have been on a steady downhill spiral post MS.

They need some strong blood a la Newey or somebody similar.

Or they will be mediocre for a long time.

They only had 16-18 cars start last week in Texas. Many of the smaller teams never arrived. I think Alonso is going in the right direction.

Caterham is still trying to make the grid for Abu Dhabi, & hopefully attract a buyer - & Bernie isn't pleased:

Meanwhile, Marussia has officially thrown in the towel:

www.bbc.com

Such a shame: They seemed capable of punching above their weight class every now & then. :(

Caterham has announced via twitter that they will indeed be on the Grid for Abu Dhabi.

Next year, Bernie says no to the gimmicks:
Bernie Ecclestone will drop controversial double points in Formula One next season - Motor Racing - Sport - The Independent

Good call, IMO.

Also some interesting perspective on catering to the fans. wonder what changes that's going to bring?
