I think it should just be 1-32, one point for a correct 1st rounder, 2 points for a correct slot, meaning Winston goes 1 and you had it, you get 1+2 for 3 points. Also, get a one point bonus for every consecutive pick you get passed 3 in a row,cap if you call the 1st 5 then miss one, you got 2 points extra

How about this...

+1 for all correct picks in correct slots
-1 for all wrong picks that have a 8 pick differential or higher AND were picked in the first round
-3 for all wrong picks that were picked in the wrong round

I hate the negative points deal, because it piles on a bunch of extra work for Nos to keep it all straight. He always handles whatever, but we shouldn't take advantage

Yes, you get one point for picking a guy who ended up a 1st rounder. You also get a two point bonus for picking him where he went, example, if you picked Winston 1.1, and he went there, 1 point for correct 1st rounder and 2 for correct at 1.1
Also, if you hit 3 picks in a row, round and slot, every correct round/slot pick after that is an extra point. So say you predicted Winston, Mariota and Williams 1, 2 and 3, and it went that way, if you pick the 4th pick correctly, you get a point for more than 3 straight as well. . Then #5, another point. If you then missed on #6, you'd still get a point for him being a 1st, but nothing extra till you hit another pick, slot, or more than 3 straight

Just my opinion but we are making this more complicated than it needs to be...

Why not just break it down with value for the picks like I said before.

picks 1 - 5 you get 1 points for each correct prediction
picks 6 - 10 you get 3 points for each correct prediction
picks 11 - 15 you get 5 points for each correct prediction
picks 16 - 20 you get 7 points for each correct prediction
picks 21 - 25 you get 9 points for each correct prediction
picks 26 - 32 you get 11 points for each correct prediction

I said the same thing but 2,4,6,8,10,12 then heard from Milk he didn't like it. Let's do it this way. We need a decision now.

Lol, how about the most correct out of 32 wins with # of correct slots as the tiebreaker

Well, we aren't doing trades and why do we need extra points for picking 3 in row. If you pick the most correct you will probably win anyhow why extra points?

Shouldn't late first round picks be worth more than early picks? I am also lost on why slots keeps coming up?

I'm not a fan of negative points or the idea of getting 12 points for the late picks. I like UK's idea the best out of them all.

I like more points per later picks in the first round because I feel its harder to predict. We all know Winston will go in the top 2 picks but pick 20 can be players valued from 15-30 depending on teams big boards.

This is the final decision and thank you to everyone for your suggestions.

Picks 1 - 5 you get 2 points for each correct prediction
Picks 6 - 10 you get 4 points for each correct prediction
Picks 11 - 15 you get 6 points for each correct prediction
Picks 16 - 20 you get 8 points for each correct prediction
Picks 21 - 25 you get 10 points for each correct prediction
Picks 26 - 32 you get 12 points for each correct prediction

You have to guess correctly the player to the correct team to earn the points. If there is a trade and the player gets picked in the same draft spot that you picked but different team because of the trade then you still will get the points.
