Milk did a bang up job with the wire late in the season and in the playoffs.(he played his cards right while taking advantage of his divisional situation.)

I was impressed. And also somewhat stunned.(Sanchez!?!)

Mark Sanchez, The Plodder and Latavious Murray came up huge. Didn't hurt that Dez went off either.

Was a title well earned. (I'm looking forward to hoisting the Visigoth Championship banner during TheComitie's first home game. I'd gladly trade it to Chef for his ticket though. Hahaha.)

Last year's league was a lotta fun, man...probably the most fun fantasy league I have ever been in.

Yes milk. There's no problem here. If Chef wanted top claim he could have not made a waiver claim the first week.

I guess Milk might be saying that the initial advantage has a carryover effect. If he's first, and everybody makes a claim, then he's still first. And if nobody makes a claim, he's still first.

But all it takes is somebody to hold off for a week and that advantage transfers to them.

Well, if it was somebody other than Chef. I think Chef has to make claims to control his blood sugar level or something.

Totally agree!

I think it was the most competitive league top to bottom. The most active. (for me.) And good grief did we all ever have some good conversation week to week. It'll be a tough act to follow for those of us Barbarians that remain. And those who are new to The Hoarde. Or returning.

Well, he would be right, it does. But same holds true throughout the season as well. Much like all the other things. .there is no perfect way, because everyone had differing opinions on what "perfect" is. .so we have 2 simple options, rolling or reset each week, worst to first, and we make the best of whichever the majority elects to have. .done

Another rule change to think about, is a team that has been eliminated from the playoffs being blocked from trading.

I made a bad mistake last year, that thankfully didn't affect anything, that probably needs to be blocked in the future.

We've always sort if left those things alone. The thinking being we're all above any type of collusion, or otherwise underhanded deals. If something is way out of order, that person simply won't be asked back the next year.

But, hey, if the majority things we need an actual rule for it. ..I guess why not

It was stupidity on my part, but because of it I thought it deserved a mention. I am good either way and will make certain it doesn't happen again from me. Nothing like a bit of stupidity to teach a lesson.

Yeah, there's a rule for that - no trading after you're eliminated from playoff contention.

Why would you trade after being eliminated?

I can see someone getting caught up in the competitiveness and not even thinking about it.

To be fair. .there was the whole oblivion thing. ..there was incentive to continue being active. .all the way around. .after the playoffs started. ..for both leagues

Not to be blunt. But I love looking at rules but we all have other leagues for that. The MBBRL is set and it's a pleasure to be in and really no need to change a thing

When I joined I was thrilled to be in the Best League Bar none

And posting and being active is and always was a stipulation

However no need messing with what works. As Treff said its simple it's the MBBRL and let's keep it that way.

The Golden Mountain is already Golden

one thing to keep in mind, when you have a relegation system:
Every Game Counts!

So why should it be against the rules for someone not in playoff contention to trade?
They are trying to save their own ass and not get booted/demoted.
Sometimes that takes a trade, sometimes that takes a late season waiver add.
Should lend itself to what someone said earlier - you win the championship based off your regular season players, cause if you are winning/in the playoffs, you will NOT have first crack at waivers.

Again, as long as the trade is in good faith and no outright collusion occurring.
