I like it. I was anticipating a 2nd straight up so the 3rd is a nice bonus.

This means that Lou agrees its selling time. Good sign.
With Jagr's recent comments, the return value was not going to be anything better than this deal.
He is also going to a team that is on the bubble of making the playoffs.

Apparently Lou says he's still not opposed to adding and they are not out of playoff chase. SMDH, trade em all Lou, time to unload as many of these relics as you can.

with kane out and now jagr moved. i'm telling you i would offer them up camalari in a second! i think the devils would really make out and strong arm the hawks.

yeah i know he is a left wing when kane is a right wing. that wouldn't/shouldn't stop a trade from happening.

getting camalarei off our books would be a win in itself.

get a 1st a prospect and a player in return for him. that would give the devils 4 picks in the top 50 of the draft?

btw i really like the jagr deal.

i hope the panthers make the playoffs 1. because i like the underdog and 2. i like jagr and want to see him get a shot since he didn't last year.

jackets deal for clarkson? my initial reaction was wtf but after reading the details of the deal. i am 100% with columbus on this deal.

who knows if horton will ever play again and they are paying him actual money (not insurance). not sure if an injured player cap hit doesn't count even if it does. you need nhl players and clarkson MIGHT be able to turn it around once you get out of toronto. i'm a big believer in change of scenery

Fun thought for the evening, the two draft picks we got for Jagr will probably be 7-8 year younger than him...COMBINED.

Cam to the Hawks wouldn't work because they need rentals. After this season they will be having a firesale to get under the cap, especially if it stays put or goes down. Our cap situation is actually pretty good moving forward so I'm not too concerned.

I think you can get a desperate team to give up a 3rd, maybe a 2nd for any of Ryder/Gomez/Zid. I think a lot of teams see the CAD struggling and the cap is a question mark, they will overpay for cheap rentals in order to go for it this year. Let's move some bodies for picks!

True about their cap. I just don't think if they are going to try to win a cup before that happens they want Ryder or some 3rd line scrub. Add a scorer like camaleri and they are instant favorites again. Hey the team will get "blown up" regardless after this season so why not do what you can to win a cup.

Heck the Devils could take salary back too. Give me sharp a prospect and a pick. Then next year turn sharp at the deadline since his contract is expiring and flip him for a rental piece

Glad we started a move, although I would have love to snag Ho Sang from the Isles, maybe not too late for someone else?

Thanks Jagr, most and many nights you were the best player. That speak volumes to your training as well as the inferiority Lou has created on the ice. Got a good deal, seems like a good package.

Keep it up, Ryder, Zids needs to go! Adam for a very good young off player or maybe use Gelinas instead?

That's the type of player I would like. Serious potential and some personality to this team

Dw yeah I agree I wouldn't take a player back with anything more then a year left on his deal two max this team isn't competing next year so we don't need the cap space

Good trade for both teams. Panthers get to take a run at a Boston team that's injured right now. Devils get a pick that could prob be top 45 this season and an additional one. Not bad at all for a guy who scored no points in 8 games and is 100 years old. I was very concerned that we wouldn't get much from Jagr after he fell off the tracks post all star game.

Zids
Ryder - Can't imagine anyone would want a guy we've been benching. Maybe he scores a hattrick tonight.
Havlat - Stupidly cheap against the cap, could DEF see a team like Chicago go after him as a backup/replacement for Kane. Not going to get a ton from him, but even a 4th is better than nothing.
Bernier/TooToo- Even these guys have looked like potential playoff assets lately. Bid body 4th liners that can be aggressive.

For Chicago to go after Camm we would most certainly need to take Bickell off their hands. Not the worst of ideas. Clear Cap, get their first, maybe two of them. Bickell uses space we'll have anyway and it keeps us in the loto pick conversation.

Exactly keeps us in the lotto talk. but honestly looking past that

This team is two to three years away from competing camaleri will be what 33 and we know he has injuries
