FYI sailor jerrys >>>> captain morgans.....that is all
hadnt had CM original in years and bought a big bottle for the bar because it was on sale. I didnt remember it being so damn sweet. had a couple drinks and promptly buried the bottle on the bottom shelf for guests.Depends which Captain Morgan we are talking about. If it's Captain Morgan original spiced rum then yes. If it's private stock or black then no way.

ill try the private stock but black rum is useless in my opinion at least that was my take from one bottle of cracken when it came out.
Had a couple of new brews lately:
Troegs Perpetual IPA, which I give a "meh,"
Ballast Point Victory at Sea (coffee and vanilla porter), which I give a slightly higher "it's was all right, I guess."
The Troegs just did not distinguish itself from the hundreds of other IPA's out there. If you had given it to me blindfolded, I would have assumed it was anything from a Trader Joe's to a Bass. 7.5% ABV.
The Ballast Point ws a pretty strong 10% ABV, very heavy on the coffee up front, the vanilla was not overpowering. At least it was not overly sweet like so many other porters. I'd drink it again but I wouldn't drive 20 miles out of the way to pick up a case.
Bwah! They still make those? Banned in NYC...
