And you wound up a Liverpool fan?!? Shame!!!Good news for Bolton. I grew up just a few miles from the Reebok Stadium so glad to see them continue.

Dude bought the team for one pound. From what I heard today, the guy who bought Bury isn't a football fan and didn't even know the club existed. Why was he allowed to buy the club then? I feel bad for their supporters. At least Bolton sounds like it'll be okay for now.

We lived half way between Wigan and Bolton and I think there were 18 teams in the league system within a 20-30 mile radius. 90% of the kids at my school were Liverpool or (mostly) United fans with a couple of Everton, Man City, Blackburn and Bolton fans too. Frankly I don't remember picking a team, but I'm guessing it was because Liverpool were so good back then (early 80's). First game I remember watching was a Liverpool United game when I was five or six.
No worries, man...you're right about how many FA clubs there are in that region. Being an American, I wasn't attached to any of them, so I follow quite a few teams from Lancs. The past decade or so I got more drawn to Bolton, Preston, Morecambe, and lately Fleetwood. None of them are ever going to be like Liverpool, though :/
Well, one was against Man City U-21, but still...Three in a row!
Mid-table in League Twoand then.....

just read wiki...bury and bolton are or were rivals so hows that allegiance of yours break down for both?
I don't really have one team, I follow several clubs from that area. I don't get into the rivalries so much because it's not like I grew up there or something. I sympathized with Bury when they were going through their fiscal troubles because Bolton was, too.just read wiki...bury and bolton are or were rivals so hows that allegiance of yours break down for both?
league tu......Bolton on the verge of their sixth straight win to creep up into the playoff places in League Two
