Decided on Southern California

Some of you know I've been looking for my next job location. I am moving to SoCal.
I just checked the Patriots schedule and the only California game for the Pats is in Santa Clara.....

i lived in modesto and merced as a kid. they were okay, but i've heard they've become shitholes now. i'd rather have lived in a more rural area.

Moved to California as a kid, call San Luis Obispo home.
Lived in NC for 15 years with wife and kids - hated it after wife passed. Still have a house there and 2 of my kids are there. I really enjoy leaving NC when I visit.
California will always be home.

Good for you on going home, but you specifically said south of Fresno, in San Joaquin Valley, which is Central California. And this Pittsburgh fan lives fifteen minutes south of Santa Clara, so I'm a little familiar. But maybe you meant a different San Joaquin Valley... it has been 20 years since you've lived here.

I'm pretty sure you said you are moving to San Joaquin Valley, near Fresno. I was born in West Covina and grew up in La Puente, Ca. I do know San Joaquin Valley and Fresno are not part of SoCal.
