In the post match Ryder Cup press conference, hearing European teammates talk about their RESPECT for the Ryder Cup, explains a lot of their success. (since 1985)
They talked about having Respect for the previous legends of the European team. And how they stand on the shoulders of:
Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Jose Maria Olazabel, etc. The European's team (history) captain's list is a who's who of true believers in the Ryder Cup.
The Europeans have a culture of team, generation to generation family, and winning.
They seem to get it.
The Ryder Cup creates more pressure than any other sport. It's the biggest golf event every two years.
It's not about money.
It's about team, family, and countries.
It's about reputation
It's about playing a sport, under extreme pressure, while millions are watching.
It's the best, that the sport of golf, has to offer.
