It was quoted that Trent Richardson could not do this in a season. I guess they need to make high school score boards bigger to allow a 3rd digit to be able to put 107

DUBOIS, Pa. (AP) — Journey Brown ran for 722 yards and 10 touchdowns and Meadville outscored DuBois 107-90 in a high school football game Friday night.

Brown broke the Pennsylvania yardage record and fell short of the national high school record of 754 yards set by John Giannantonio for Netcong, New Jersey, in a 1950 game against Mountain Lakes.

"That's pretty cool," Brown told The Meadville Tribune. "But that's because of the big uglies up front. First off, I love my line, point-blank, period. Without that line, without the other backs, there's no way I'm able to do what I did. It's because of them."

The junior had 30 carries.

"I'm tired," Brown told the newspaper. "I'm real tired. But it doesn't matter. I came to play for the team, not myself."

Last week in a 28-7 victory over Fairview in a game called at halftime because of lightning, Brown had 151 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.

DuBois sophomore Matt Miller passed for a Pennsylvania-record 741 yards and had 10 touchdown passes in his first start. He completed 29 of 50 passes.

The teams combined for 1,827 yards of total offense.

"I'll tell you what, the fans that paid their $5 to come see this game certainly got their money's worth," Meadville coach Ray Collins told the Tribune. "What you had was two very good offenses teeing up on each other. But neither team brought their defense."

After reading this kid's stats, it makes me picture beast mode playing against a bunch of middle schoolers

It is just strange in most games like this it is like a 70 - 7 win or something like that not a rather close game at the end.

720 on 30 carries gets ya 24 yards per run

I think the QB of the losing team had something around 750yds passing and 10 TD's which is why the game was close.

At least the Pats and Steelrs didn't have the worst defensive performances of the week...
