Aliens. Unfortunately it was the director's cut from my box set.

The storyline doesn't need the settlers discovering the eggs. And it worked better without those sentry gun scenes.

Plus Bill Paxton says "Check it out" too many times.

Still a solid 8.5 out of 10 though.

So many great lines. "we're in the pipe, 5 by 5", "but it's a dry heat", "What are we supposed to use, harsh language?", "How does a guy get out of this chickenshit outfit?", etc.

Flat out love the movie.

My fave quote ...no idea why.

GORMAN: " Apone...where are your people? Anybody in D-block?"

Apone: "
Negative. We're all in operations"

I have a home office in the basement, I call it "Operations" all the time. Drives my wife nuts.

Just watched "Whiplash"
Didn't know anything about it other than JK Simmons winning an Academy Award.
Pretty good movie. Different. A little slow for me in parts but good entertainment for 2hrs.
Simmons was great, and without him, this movie probably stinks.

Watched my Blu Ray of Bullitt. Car chase aside, it's a decent cop story. Emergency room stuff is pretty accurate and all in all more than just a car movie.

John Wick

Absolutely fucking stupid...

And I loved every second of it! A movie that you just have to turn your brain off at the opening credits, but the cast was fun and the action was non-stop.

I watched it last night. I agree with everything you said. Great action. I laughed. "Oh."

And that waitress has an amazing ass!!

John Wick

Had some real potential but just got insane with the amount of people he would kill.

What is the record for the most people killed by 1 person with just combat, knife or gun?
What ever the record is ..John Wick has a shot to beat it.

I say he tops the amount Uma killed when she sliced up all of the those "Carzy 88" dudes.

I believe that Either the Matrix or The Crow hold the distinction of most deaths in a movie.

San Andreas.

The movie was good IMO. I felt shaking and nervous when I was watching the movie with my girl lol because of the scenes that make you feel uncomfortable like the first scene with the chopper.

Gone Girl last night. Rosemund Pike was excellent. I enjoyed it. I'd give it a 7~8.

Very slow. Maybe too slow. But I thought it worked. My father is going through something very similar right now, so I may have liked the movie because I could relate.

One thing that struck me was that the black and white made it feel like a dramatic, serious "Clerks" (even though this was actually quite a funny movie).
