I've always seen that CSU-Wyoming is the Oldest Interstate Rivalry west of the Mississippi

it wouldnt be continuous as they didnt play some years in the 40s.

missouri vs Kansas Border war was first played in 1891 has been played 120 times and up until Missouri left the Big XII they have played more consecutive than CSU/Wyoming. 1918 was last break before 2012. since your article was from 1996 that wouldnt matter.

Those two have total disdain for each other.

I've looked at both their schdules. I never knew there were that many "Maritime" Academies

I'm far from a C-USA rivalry expert, but that seems fitting. Whole Kentucky/Tennessee dynamic, former Sun Belt team, teams that typically are bowl eligible, etc.

That was a big-time rivalry when both were in the OVC. Now Western's biggest Rival was Eastern
but they have remained in 1-AA. Western and Middle Tenn are only like 100 miles apart.

Well when you come to San Antonio for Michigan state's final 4 appearance you can rile up the locals with these ideas.

The Air Force-Army game always takes place 1st Saturday of November, just like AFA-Navy 1st Saturday of October, and Army-Navy 2nd Saturday of December.
