To give it some perspective, this is what the power rankings are for this event.

Oh Tiger, even I'm starting to feel bad for you.

1 Webb Simpson
An elite horse for a course. Three top 10s in last four starts at Greenbrier. Ranks eighth in strokes gained: tee-to-green and the all-around.

2 Bubba Watson
The Travelers champ loves himself some Greenbrier Resort. In his third appearance. Eight red numbers, averaging 68.5. T16 here last year.

3 Kevin Kisner
Ignore his 0-for-3 slate at Greenbrier. Since P2 at Harbour Town, he's 7-for-7 with five top-12 finishes and 24 red numbers

4 Bill Haas
Seemingly immune to slumping. Three top 10s and another five top 25s in 15 starts this season. Perfect in four starts here; playoff loss in 2011.

5 Kevin Na
Missed Travelers cut but recently connected eight top 20s in stroke-play events. Sits 17th in birdies or better. Also 3-for-3 at Greenbrier with a T7 in 2012.

6 Paul Casey
Tournament debut. His playoff loss at TPC River Highlands was also in his first appearance. Currently sixth in GIR and 10th in adjusted scoring.

7 Pat Perez
Arrives having made seven straight cuts, five for a top 20. Perfect in four trips to Greenbrier with two top 10s. Ranks 16th in par breakers.

8 Brendon Todd
Top 20s in two of his last three starts; T15 at the Travelers. Currently 13th in strokes gained: putting. Tied for fourth at Greenbrier last year.

9 George McNeill
Capped an emotional day with a career-low 61 in the finale here last year to finish second. T17 in 2013. Four top 20s in the last two months.

10 Graham DeLaet
Disappointing Sunday at the Travelers, but still connected four red numbers to place fourth. Third straight top 30. T12 at Greenbrier in 2012.

We used to say back in the day that Tiger SHOULD play the smaller venues at least once for the good of the tour, but he was ALWAYS too busy...now...not so much I guess.

Tiger Woods' split from Lindsey Vonn caused by relationship with Amanda Dufner.

Once again he just could not 'keep it' in the fairway.

I don't think he's even rated in the top 200 any more. He'll take all the invites he can get.

Tiger has the lifetime exception...not about invites for PGAT events.

My point was when he was on top he should have been going to these smaller events (2 or 3 a yr)...now, he will still draw a crowd, much like Jack and Arnie did on the way out and he's earned that...but he should've done this when he was on top.

When he was on top he didn't give a shit about anyone (in my opinion). I'm amaazed that people still want to watch him play. Not sure he'll ever make the change from hated champion to beloved figure like Nicklaus did.

Jack Nicklaus was a class act on and off the golf course but Tiger not so much.

He gave plenty of shit to the people that padded his bank account...namely his sponsors.

Tiger also gave his haters plenty of just cause, but in the grand scheme, he could not have drawn the world wide galleries that he has being a hated champion by the masses. That said...today, Tiger has no choice but to be more engaging, more humble...his game is in the shitter and he knows (even though he might not say it publicly) the run is over.

Yes...once America realized that by hook or crook the torch had been passed from Arnie to Jack...the love affair began in earnest.

The difference between night and day, no pun intended.

Tiger is officially playing for money. I wondered if this day would ever come. It's finally here and I'm ashamed to admit I actually feel a pang of empathy for this piece of shit.

I think Bob Harig is dead. Tiger shoots a 4 under round today and he has not tweeted anything since the 24th.

The spin is in full effect.

They can't stop telling you that Tiger was 4 shots back from the lead at the end of yesterdays round.
But nobody wanted to tell you he was tied for 26th and 4 shots above the cut line.
