Rory has just about every possible excuse for missing the cut at this event.
From his insane schedule to the fact that he won 2 of the 3 of that schedule before this event, to the fact this event was a completely different European course than the ones he was playing for 3 weeks.

But if Rory is really going to make a run at being one of golf's legends and his accomplishments have all ready put him on that path, there really is no excuse for him to allow his game to yo-yo down to a level where his misses a cut.

Playing without your A game is something all great golfers have to contend with but Rory has to play smart golf. Smart golf that keeps his game from ever falling below a certain level.

Agreed...aggressive schedule no doubt. If it wasn't a big Euro event, he probably bails after playing 3 straight weeks and winning 2 of them. Kudos for teeing it up @ the BMW.

But, when you're world #1, you shouldn't ever get a pass for missing a cut that badly.

I really like this kid, but Rory is all about the driver...when it's on, he has so many short irons in his hands that 68 is pretty much par.

But...when the driver is not working...he doesn't have that extra gear to kick in and grind out pars.
