Use technology... Yet another goal that's not a goal. It's the WORLD CUP You don't even need replay...just have a guy watching a TV make the call down to the referee. Goal. Or add goals on at halftime that should be goals so that you can still play on without stopping. Everybody will get used to that...in fact the players will all like it because they know eventually it could be the right thing for their team. It's not magic or anything, it's just a video camera trained on the goal line.

same thing with football.... what's with all these shitty angles at the goal line? why can't we get a camera lined up perfectly with it?

Yeah....FIFA....where China with 1.5 billion people has a vote that counts the same as some island country with 15,000 people.

I wonder if the major soccer nations will break off from FIFA the way that the P5 college football conferences are breaking away from the NCAA.

You would hope the major countries break off and form their own soccer federation. It seems like the logical thing to do but I don't know all the politics and logistics to make that happen.

But if Europe and NA both wanted to go that route, the other nations would almost have no choice but to kick FIFA to the side and join the new governing body.

Seriously though... a World Cup in Qatar? Fucking ridiculous. Wonder if any countries would consider boycotting it.

Soo much evidence pointing to FIFA started turning up, they spun it off into it's own separate investigation. Now you know why Putin immediately cranked up the propaganda machine.
