Major wreck in the back of the pack. Four cars. This could now be a dash for the cash and the trophy.

Hawksworth clipped the car in front of him, but why didn't the silver car turn towards the bottom?

I don't watch as much open wheel as I use to,is it a control issue? Would it cause one to lose control if you jerked it to the bottom of the track? I would think the risk of losing control would be less than wrecking if you stayed at the top of the track during an accident.

Hawksworth into the back of Saavedra and that was the beginning of the end. Power leads Montoliet with Dixon in tow. Here we go.

Anyone of the top three could win this thing. Dixon, Montoliet and Powers are changing leads almost by lap!

Montoliet takes the win with Power second and Kimball third. Penske takes his 16th Indy title. Dixon fades in the end. Those last 15 laps were pretty exciting.

That's Montoliet's second trophy. Not bad race especially at the end. On we go.

That was a fun race, Montoya actually won, he usually causes chaos on memorial day too LOL(well in F1 and Nascar)

Not this year though, good for him

Sato has taken up the mantle BoiseStateFan. Montoilet fought back from early mistakes and miscues to win it outright. Pretty cool.

Just got back to my sister's place. It was a great race. We were sitting just across from the pits where the crew guys got hit, but I was down in the restroom at the time. I've got a couple dozen pics to sort through, but I probably won't get them posted unti;l after I get home tomorrow.

Wish my man Dixon could have won, but I guess that he didn't have any tires left by the end. :noidea:

Now for supper, and then to FINALLY watch the Monaco GP. :)

Sato is just flat out a danger to himself and everyone else on the track. Unreal. Karam had a top notch ride too. He should have been solid.

Montoya seems to have mellowed a lot. I always liked him because he was a fun combination of aggressive and unapologetic. I guess since he was in the best car, he could be. He was a nightmare in F1, and I don't know anything about his Nascar career other then the Jet Dryer thing. But he managed the race, played all his cards right and carved through the field as opposed to bullying his way through.

There is something serious wrong with the Honda engines as well. The first Honda was whom? Rahal, Andretti and none of them had anything for Montoilet, Power, or Dixon.

Unsers (Al Sr., Bobby, Al Jr - 9) > Andrettis (Mario 1)......

The 500 ain't what it used to be.

But I will record and watch since a Canuckistanian is on pole... See if he can replicate JV's success....

Big day of motor racing. Monaco F1, Indy 500 and the NASCAR Coca Cola 600 mile race at Charlotte.

1,300 miles of motor racing.....

Plus French Open Tennis and the Champion's League Final.

Big TV weekend for me.
