I don't think this will hurt his draft stock much, if at all. Unlike Gregory, this won't put him automatically in the drug program when drafted.

I hope his stock drops & he is there for the Cardinals when they pick. The Cardinals had him for a visit & workout. At the time, I was thinking it was a waste of a visit because he was going to be gone way before the Cards draft.

The issue with Gregory wasn't the drugs itself but hus judgment. To the extent this involves the same thing, he's in the same boat.

They just had one of those NFL analysts on ESPN radio, and he was stating that Ray could slip into the 2nd or 3rd round. He certainly isn't going in the top 10. It is not so much the pot as the fact that this guy appears to possess extremely poor judgement. In today's NFL that is a major, major problem. Add the toe injury & most teams will be avoiding this guy or - at best - hoping to get him as a bargain.

Have to disagree. Any player with a history of 420 should be off the radar considering that it has simply become entirely too easy to get supply in the DC area since the last voting period. Until the NFL changes its stance on weed, these players should simply not be in our plans.

Well Trent got busted too Shark, and he's been the leader of this team and it's best player for about 2 or 3 years now. He plays hurt and never ducks the media. I am of the mindset that Mary Jane is not an automatic non negotiable for me. Gregory is a different story. I think he has 3 or 4 failed test. That means he couldn't even stop long enough to pass a test.

It just depends on risk reward for me. I understand Scot has never drafted a player with drug history but I read somewhere that he did bring in Percy Harvin who did have somewhat of a past in that area.

If Ray is sitting there at 38, and we've already drafted Scherff, or traded down and picked up a T and maybe a Waynes, I'd probably roll the dice and jump all over that.
