Bobby Hurely - ASU

Interesting hire. Had a ton of success as a player but unproven as a coach. Definitely a firery guy. With Wells Fargo soon to be renovated ASU may be able to build some momentum in a sport that no one really cares about. I'd trade every bit of success he has for a FB NC but nice to see ASU exploring basketball. May actually go to a game next season.

Most of the uofgay fans are nervous but only give Hurley 3 years. Who cares, Just put us on National spotlight and we will get a better coach later. Hi just signed Shannon Evans for 2016, PG. and he will be good.
Bring your comments to the PAC 12 board that I already started on Bob Hurley.

I actually followed Hurley while he was at Buffalo. He is a good in-game coach and showed some ability to develop talent. I think where you may find him lacking is in recruitment.

Shannon Evans is a good player, but I'm not sure he parlays it in the PAC 12.

The idea that U of A are nervous over Bobby Hurley though is pretty funny.

Fork, what is this top 300 stuff? I can assure you that AZ will have more top 300 players than ASU's class, unless you just have more scholarships open up. Either way, understand that no one is remotely worried about Hurley out-recruiting Miller next year or for the foreseeable future.Everyone knows that the most of the top of the crop take their time committing.

Good luck to Hurley, but don't get ahead of yourself.

We have 2 top 300. You know Hurely is going to bring everything he has the next few years ahead and you should be fucking thankful that ASU will become a challenge to UOFA (even though we kind of owned you the last few years)

LMAO just checked the RPI, SOS and ASU is stronger than UOFA. I would post this on their board but they banned me. Again, LMAO. UOFA is one of the lowest in the PAC. Tells me that rankings are worthless.

But you also have to look at other markers such as BPI, record, and injuries. AZ has a much better BPI, a better record, and did much of it without our starting C. AZ has one loss, against a fringe top 10 team, by 5, on a neutral court. Every other game we won. ASU lost to Sac St. and a decent Marquette. And both teams beat ranked squads in Gonzaga and TamU, respectively.

ASU should definitely make the NIT, and if they can finish above .500 in conference, they should be dancing. ASU has a good team this year. But AZ is clearly the better team.
