NO question the league and other owners/teams are out to get NE. If the words "NE Patriots" are involved, the issues it 100x worse than any other team. The Lions did the same thing NE did with the ineligible WR, and nothing was said. Vikes were caught messing with the footballs, not a big story....Very curious to see how to league punishes the Browns and Falcons for their errors. They cheated, broke the rules. Has to start with their 1st rd pick, anything else would be a joke.

I don't expect anything to happen with any seriousness with those non-Pats matters. The Colts did the same thing the Falcons did with piping in music in a playoff game years ago and nothing was said or done. But somehow the Pats will get slapped in some way regarding deflategate.

Reports from Adam S is the punishments are going to be pretty severe. Not sure how bad, but he has been right on so far. As far as I am concerned they cheated, just like Spygate, they should lose their 1st.

Agreed. We'll see if there is a double standard for team punishments. Somehow Goofdell will fuck it all up.

Reading that the Browns were sending texts during the game about game strategy and what was going to happen next. Now that is at least as bad as spygate. So they should lose their 1st rd pick, but they have 2 picks in the 1st already. Atl was pumping in noise for 2 yrs, still should be a 1st.

you know what's sad though..it didn't help either team.

but regardless, they should lose picks since the precedent has already been set. anything less will and should be deemed a double standard.

Goodell has been painted into a corner now. When asked about the Jets tampering charge against the Patriots, he stated that the league will investigate because these charges are taken seriously. Then he mentioned teams tampering prior to free agency. Somebody then quieted the entire gathering and asked about "Deflategate" and how badly the league was dragging it out. He stammered about the investigation not being finished and people needing to be interviewed. A final question wasn't answered................"Who else needs to be interviewed?"

Kraft is trying to stay calm and not get really pissed off publicly. Mara and Tisch (Giants), Rooney (Steelers), and Jones (Cowboys) are three owners who are putting pressure on Goodell to clean up the mess before the draft..........or else. Goodell sucked as an attorney and his 'leagalise' isn't working now. He screwed up on domestic abuse, child abuse and he's got egg on his face with Deflategate.........If he screws up the Jets tampering with Revis prior to free agency, he'll be gone and his name will be struck from every NFL record.

The draft is almost a month away so the clock is ticking faster and the league is dragging their feet on just about every pending issue out there, whether it's deflategate, the Browns, the Falcons, the Jets and other teams that tampererd, Hardy and AP's suspensions. That's a lot of shit that will make a huge difference in terms of the draft.

Nothing is as bad as spygate. Making films of football games is really, really bad - especially if you have a rookie commissioner trying to make a statement.

Now when that commissioner becomes a seasoned veteran - you learn to sweep it under the rug.....

IDK, I think it is as bad. They were making in game adjustments via text. NE was taking those tapes to look at for down the road. Yes, what NE did was wrong, esp after you were told to stop....but they had no affect on that game right then and there. Clev on the other hand could adjust during "that" game. IMO they should be fined as much as NE. Not to mention had NE been in a certain spot, or asked for permission, we might not have heard about it.

And....they walk away with nothing really. LOL at the NFL. I thought cheating was cheating....I mean at least that is what I have read from the Natl Media, local media, haters of the Patriots. Yet the Browns and Falcons cheating is not as bad. I thought it was the integrity of the game that Roger wanted to protect.....I thought cheating gave the NFL, THE SHIELD a black eye? NO?? I guess not then huh Rog! I guess Clev and Atl cheating was not as bad. Now he has diff levels of cheating?? After seeing this BS punishments handed down, I am certain, 100% sure that NE will get fined and hammered for DeflateGate, even if they did not do anything....just watch.

There is a story circulating that the NFL approached Bob Kraft and asked him to pay a minor fine for Deflategate so they could make it go away. Basically Johnathan Kraft told them absolutely not. He claims that the Patriots are not guilty of any wrong doing and accepting a minor fine would be accepting guilt. More so he supposedly told them if they have something concrete, put it on the table. They apparently don't have anything and so the 'investigation' will continue.

Oh hell yes!! I can totally see this and not shocked at all. As other's said the only ones who look bad are the Colts and the NFL, from the Refs on up to that Jackass who hates NE. I am 100% on Kraft's side, any type of fine from 5$ to $500,000 would make NE look guilty. I honestly think NE took one for Spygate, look what happen. Not this time Roger...your buddy Robert will not be around for ever and from what I hear, you don't want to deal with Johnathan. At this point the NFL should come out an claim they and NE did nothing wrong and not sure how the balls deflated, even though we know. End it an move on with new rules...I mean Brady plays better when the balls are inflated to the appropriate level.....
