I am not saying you are wrong, Don. Just saying I am almost too desperate for a Super Bowl to care anymore. I honestly would probably waffle on Peterson too.

He was convicted and is now appealing and it got dismissed upon appeal. And who knows what the NFL will find. They have been pretty awful at investigating these situations the last year or so.

Randle's case seems a great deal more extreme with the gun and broken glass. Hardy isn't a choirboy though.

I know it shouldn't matter how good of an on field talent Hardy is, but I still sorta wish he could bolster that defensive front.

There was no gun found and I say again, the two policemen at the scene did not arrest Randle. Nor did they call for any further backup or assistance, which so many times happens in these type of domestic situations. In fact, they said he cooperated and did not even appear to be intoxicated. He was allowed to drive away.

I heard both 911 calls on the 105.3 this morning, and whomever the ex-girl friend is, didn't sound like she was frightened in the first call. In fact, the guys on the radio made note of how her main goal seemed to be making sure she incriminated Randle since she said his name about 6 times.

In her second call, which was almost immediately after she hung up from the first one, was a "never mind call." Also, she admitted that she caused the broken glass, not Randle.

It very well could be that she was lying and then realized what she lied about and tried to smooth it over. Not sure that Randle is worth the hassle. Other pro bowl caliber players that have gone through similar things might be though. That's ultimately up to Jerry, Stephen, and Jason to get together and decide.

You would think these players would learn though right? Don't go sticking your dick into girls you don't know and don't appear to be the marrying type. It leads to either you or her doing something really stupid down the road.

More unfortunate news for the Cowboys?

Fire that gutted NFL linebacker's Alabama house ruled arson

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama fire officials say a blaze that gutted an NFL player's Tuscaloosa County home has been ruled arson.

Alabama State Fire Marshal Ed Paulk said in a release Friday that investigators have determined a late December blaze that destroyed the home of Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain was set intentionally.

Details on what led investigators to that conclusion weren't immediately available. A phone message left with the state fire marshal's office wasn't immediately returned.

McClain's brick mansion was on the market for $1.5 million at the time of the fire. Authorities have said the fire at McClain's home was suspicious because the house was unoccupied and expensive. Authorities have also said a vehicle was seen speeding away from the scene.

Paulk says no arrests have been made.

The scroll across the bottom during the Mavs game said that Jones says they're going to let Murray test FA. I told you guys he was gone. C'mon Cowboys get AP here!!! I'll settle for Ingram, but would rather gave Gurley.

Report: Cowboys to let DeMarco Murray test free agency

The Cowboys will let RB DeMarco Murray test the free-agent market, according to a report from Fox Sports Southwest.

Cowboys VP Stephen Jones said that negotiations with Murray's agents have been "slow".

Jones said that Murray "is probably going to get some peace and see what's out in the market, and then we'll talk and see. I do believe deep down he'd love to stay in Dallas."

Murray rushed for 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns last season.

Report: Cowboys to use franchise tag on Dez Bryant

by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com

The Cowboys will use the franchise tag on WR Dez Bryant on Monday, according to a report by Fox Sports Southwest.

The team has been trying to negotiate a long-term contract with Bryant, a free-agent to be. If a deal can't be made by Monday's franchise tag deadline, the Cowboys will use the tag to keep Bryant a Cowboy.

"I still think that (it) would be a stretch to think that we would have something done by Monday and beat the franchise-tag deadline," Cowboys VP Stephen Jones told Fox. "Looks like we're eyeing a franchise tag on Dez, but certainly won't stop us from working hard to get a long-term deal. ... We just don't want to lose his rights."

Bryant had 88 catches for 1,320 yards and 16 touchdowns last year.

Hope he keeps his head about him and plays like he can, despite the tag

Glad they extended The Bease. He's a damn fine slot guy. I hope that they can keep this receiving corps together and they can improve as a unit even more.

Eagles fake traded McCoy for Kiko Alonso of the Bills. Alonso missed last season with an ACL tear. He wears number 50 and is a white guy. Guess white guys who play linebacker and wear the number 50 had bad luck last year.

Seems like a lopsided trade to me. I wonder if they're planning on drafting his replacement or signing Murray to screw us.

They freed up a lot of money by trading him. All together they have around 50 million to spend. They are likely going after big name FAs like Suh etc to bolster their defense. Signing Murray wouldn't make sense for them because Chip has that stupid system he loves so much. I bet they go after CJ Spiller, because he's made it clear he won't be staying in Buffalo.

A fellow SMU grad and member of the best WR trio that school ever had at one time (along with Emmanuel Sanders and Aldrick Robinson).

I said when they picked him up as an undrafted free agent that year that it could wind up being a very smart move. I just love the way Beasley plays the game- hard-nosed with solid hands and runs clean routes. Like you said Rev, he's an ideal slot WR.
