Only way this is a 3-bout series is if Pac wins the first one. No pressure Pacman!

No idea who wins this one. I think if it goes the distance, FM wins. Pac needs to knock him out and well, nobody has been able to do that.

I do think Floyd wins....just happy to see the fight actually happen.

I always said that Floyd will never lose if goes the distance because hard to imagine anyone outboxing him for 7 rounds.

Gotta knock him out to win IMO.

There's been guys like Cotto, Zab, & Maidana (1st fight) where they fight good enough to take 3-4 rounds from Floyd but hard damn near impossible to win 5+ rounds against him

I see this going the distance but Floyd winning without dispute.

Yea ...this is probably the sad reality.

And I have never paid for a Floyd fight. I doubt I will start now.

I have watched and loved Manny for years. He will probably go down as one of my favorite athletes.
For a fighter to go through a gauntlet of some best Mexican fighters to ever step in the ring and beat all of them is pure greatness. Not to mention he is the only fighter to ever be an 8 division world champion.
His first fight Manny weighed 98 lbs. The rumor was he put rocks in his pocket to make the 105 weight limit.

Mayweather ..it's simple. I hate the guy with every fiber of my being. But the fact remains that he is the fastest and most accurate puncher to every step into the ring. He has no equal. I will also say this about Mayweather, he may have had 47 boxing matches but he has only been in a few fights. He's always been just a tad gutless in that he never wants to get inside and really mix it up.

The sad fact is that Manny has lost some speed and more important his energy level. Fighting Manny back in the day was a nightmare. You just could not keep him off you. On the flip side Manny is twice the boxer he used to be. He has come a long way from his days as a straight up brawler. And he is also has much more power.

In the end I can't see anything but the sad reality that this fight will go the way most Mayweathers fights go.

He is going to pepper Manny with that super fast jab that never misses and time his combinations accordingly.
The real problem with Mayweather is not his offense but his defense. He makes it impossible to get a glove on him. You expend a lot of energy just trying to land a punch.

Your fight against Mayweather consist of getting hit and swinging at someone who is not there. Nest thing you know it's the 12th round.

Manny does have a chance in this fight. Manny is always moving forward and some good head movement and if he can keep moving Mayweather he can avoid the worst of his offense. If you just stand in front of Mayweather, he will cut you to ribbons.

Manny is also really good at throwing punches from all angles that Mayweather may have trouble with. This coupled with that great straight left he throws ..... he just might pull it off.

Even though Pacquiao is now on the downside of his prime, I still think this will be Mayweather's toughest fight of his career. Pacquiao still puts combos together faster than anyone Mayweather has ever faced. The match will boil down to how effect Manny is at cornering Mayweather, because once Floyd's feet stop, he's going to get nailed with combos, Pacquiao is great at punching at an angle, also something Mayweather's never seen. It's going to be a great fight, but the Judges will give it to Mayweather if it reaches the cards, regardless of who really won.

Manny has a very good chance to win this fight if he can just do one thing. If he can keep Floyd moving, keep backing him up, then everything changes.

If you let Floyd stand in front of you, it's pure suicide. He will pick you apart.

Haven't ordered a boxing fight in forever as I usually stream it online but won't risk that for this fight.

Will either pay for it or go to a fight party

I disagree. It would be a mistake for Floyd to stand in front of pac I fight.
He will move & score points move & score points, like he did with Canelo.

No idea what I'm doing yet. Pretty sure I'm not paying $100 (or more, I don't think they have finalized it yet) for a fight I don't think will be competitive. I'm probably not willing to even split it 4 ways which is still comfortable in most living rooms. But 8-10 guys together isn't too much at some of my friends places, although mine isn't big enough. Maybe a sports bar, last time I looked none of them were getting the PPV for the Mayweather vs Canelo fight though. Maybe this fight will be big enough to change their minds, but then I might have to get to the bar at 5-6 pm (on Eastern timezone) to get a decent table. If I get to a bar 5 or more hours before the fight, there is a good chance I won't even remember the fight. For the Canelo fight I ended up going to a movie theater where they had the fight on the big screen and were selling booze too, plus they threw in 2 free slices of pizza all for like $12. Might go that route again.

This fight would have been fun 6 years ago when both were unbeaten. Pac has lost several times now and it has lost a lot of magic with this fight.

Mayweather wins.

It's why I will probably stream it... and hope that Manny not only knocks Floyd out, but hurts him real bad.

I am a guy that grew up on Tuesday and Friday night fights. I used to love boxing, and still hit a speed bag to stay in shape. I used to know everybody fighting and followed their careers. Boxing has caused its own demise by having two major fight managing companies who refuse to fight their best fighters. They place too much on the undefeated status instead of the best fights. Their inflated pride, and unwillingness to compromise and change has led to the almost extinction. Also the obvious corruption and lack of solid judging has caused a lack of faith in the sport in general.

This fight would have been the biggest thing in a long time for boxing, 5 years ago. So many people are going to watch it still, as if it matters, and then complain about a lack luster result, Like there was going to be anything else to begin with. I say to anyone who is getting excited about this fight, be prepared for a disappointment. Maybe the under cards will be good, the main event will suck, go the distance, and be mildly entertaining at best. In other words, a typical Money fight.

I have no desire to see this fight, none. As much as i would like to see May get KO'd, its not going to happen. Paq has been out of the game on a consistent basis, and with all of his other distractions, i dont think he will be even close to his former self. He's been a politician as much as he has been a fighter for the last 4 or 5 years.

I am throwing a huge non-boxing party that night. I might play some old fights that mattered, like back when boxing mattered. Maybe Hagler vs Herns, or play a bunch of Sugar Ray Leonard fights instead.

Mayweather wins.

Manny only really lost once in the last 6 years.

Anyone who watched his first fight against Bradley knows it was a robbery

No. I had a thread about this on KFFL, watching it live with Kellerman and all the HBO guys saying Manny had won every round and locking his balls the whole fight, I agreed and really did think he was robbed. Then i watched the same fight the next day with the sound muted and it was very easy to see how judges could have easily given the fight to Bradley. Manny only threw punches in the last 30 seconds of each round trying to steal it "Rope a dope style." Bradley fought the full three minutes of each round. If i remember correctly (it's been a long time) I honestly scored it 8 rounds to 6 for Pac, but at least 4-5 rounds could have easily gone either way. It was actually a really close fight. But it was one of the worst ball washings that has ever been aired, and I think that affected a lot of people. I know it affected me. HBO is terrible about that, especially since Max Kellerman joined them.
