That actually might be a good fit........12-15 touches a game will prolly get him RB 3 numbers at least......chances to break long ones................I'd take him on the cheap.

Yea, Colts may be a landing spot, seems they may have seen the light (dim) on TRich. CJ0K may find some success there as a package weapon - he can still run but needs open space to be effective - he's not going to break many tackles so I'm not high on him as anything more than a RB4. Takes an awfully deep roster to plug in a guy for a few long plays over the course of a season.

Interesting rumors:
  • Bucs seem set on drafting QB Jameis Winston.
  • Browns may make an offer for Sam Bradford.
  • Falcons have a strong interest in Justin Forsett.
  • AP wants a fresh start somewhere other than Minny.

Funny. ..I just found an old "Sportsbreak" article from last september...10 worst fantasy football picks for 2014.
now usually going to Sportsbreak for fantasy advice is about as good as asking the KKK for political advice, but they did pretty well.

10. Jamaal Charles
9. David Wilson
8. Johnny Football
7. Jordon Cameron
6. Josh Gordon (apparently the really disliked the Browns)
5. C. Patterson
4. Doug Martin
3. Nick Foles
2. Mike Vick (duh)
1. Eric Decker

Outside of Charles, and there could even be an argument made there. . Those would've all been pretty bad picks last year.
Maybe I'll give em a little more credit this coming season

With all the buzz about cap-cuts and guys looking for a big payday, it appears the NFL is trending the same road as MLB. Good, bad or indifferent it will be more and more difficult to follow a favorite team (other than for homers) since the faces (other than QB) will change year to year. I have mixed emotions as to whether it is good for the game - main problem is some of the bad franchises will over-pay for a one year wonder or fading star making their situation even worse. Worse yet is a true talent that moves on and becomes 'just a guy' with no supporting cast or a scheme that just doesn't fit with their strengths.

The NFL still has one position that usually stays put for 10+ years if playing at a high level. Brady, Big Ben, Eli, Rivers and Romo all have 10 years starting for their teams, and Rodgers, Flacco, Luck and Ryan aren't going anywhere any time soon. Dominant TEs also tend to stay put, but there aren't a lot of those.

Apart from that, I guess you can attach yourself to regimes. As Nick Nolte said in North Dallas Forty, those guys are the team; the players are just the equipment.

Gee I thought I'd be the only one old enough to remember that movie :suds:

More AP drama. .. can't they just be content that they made their point, and move on? ? Why drag this out?

Seems like any time Goodell disciplines somebody he overreaches and it gets thrown out either by an arbitrator or by the court. Bountygate, Rice, AP - that's three losses for him and three wins for the NFLPA.

That's why the NFL will appeal. They could use a win.

So 0 fer 4 is worth trying for 1 and 3?

Averaging 1 for 3 in baseball puts you in the hall of fame. .... not so much in the corporate world.

I really wanna say yes he will be, as I think he could easily handle that and be successful, but something is telling me they'll go committee, not like there's any shortage of quality RB's on the FA market that could fill in at a decent price. And there's always the draft, as deep as the RB class is, a quality committee member could be had in the late rounds

Freeman bellcow? Torn about it. I'd like to think that he would've shown a flash by the end of the 2014 season to legitimize his "bellcowedness." (pronounced bellcow-ed-ness) But instead Freeman's usage was very limited. Even with Jackson hardly getting any action in the last 2 games, Jaquizz Rodgers saw a lot more carries than Freeman.

Of course, that regime of Smith/Koetter is gone and Quinn/Shanny takes over.

My other thought just has to do with the FA RB and rookies about to hit the market. I agree there are a lot of backs that could flood the market. But I'm not sure I'm convinced that having the glut of backs will water down the quality of the starters. Take Freeman for example. Seemed like a good fit to take over in Atlanta at some point last year and it never happened.

Other backs got the start by default when other backs ended up in the coach's doghouse. But most backs who won the starting job pretty much never relinquished it.

Not sure if you guys are following some of the rumors on Rotoworld (or your favorite news outlet)? But it seems like every blip being reported about a player is that the player will NOT resign with the current team.

Could really change the fantasy landscape and drastically skew a player's projections and rankings.

Yes I have. . And totally agreeing. Poetically the biggest reason I haven't joined into much if the talk on speculation as of yet. I have a feeling there will be some drastic changes for some big names, even those who aren't free agents themselves, as the supporting cast around them is likely to be quite a bit different, probably even more so than in a "normal" year
