How to remove bloatware from your PC

A good read. It mentions 2 tools to help remove the bloatware, I can't really make a recommendation for either because I have never used them. PC Decrapifier has got decent reviews in the past though.

Can't say that I have. I remove it all by hand or better yet when I can I put a clean OS on even a brand new machine. Depends on the importance of the machine to our organization.

Same here. Just get rid of the bloat myself. It's not hard.

I manually get rid of the bloat myself with Revo uninstaller.

But how do you do this with things like cell phones? Is that like what they call "rooting?"

I just build my own systems and put an OEM clean install on them.

I build our servers that way and we have a few white boxes, but a few of our top bosses have preferences for Dell's and HP's so we don't always have that choice. Also can't beat some of their sales either. Last year Dell was dumping some product and was selling i5's with 8G ram for $395. When those come up it's hard to pass on those savings.

CC Cleaner is OK but most novices are better off using something else.
